Busy on an audit for the last few weeks - the local wing of a political party. Very different from any other client I've ever audited. Very interesting, and definitely challenging. I've been running the audit as senior, though I'm not officially promoted yet.
It was pushed on our office at the last minute as a quick audit, three days of field work and a few days for planning and completion. It's expanded to fill a full two weeks, including about 6 days of field work. The learning curve has been pretty steep. And as it's a new client, I had to do all the planning from scratch, rather than simply updating the prior year information to current year circumstances.
I've learned a lot, and at the end of it all, I'm glad to have done the job. But thank goodness it's over - it's been a stressful couple of weeks.
