Aren't they cute? Excuse the photo - it was taken with my phone, as Tim has absconded to Vancouver Island with the girls and the digital camera.
These were a quick knit, and I'm quite pleased. They don't match the new bag exactly, but since they're made entirely out of leftover yarn, I'm going to overlook it. I have just a 1-wood and a 3-wood, so I did one cover with a single diamond, and one with 3 diamonds.
The pattern, by the way, is very poorly written. Firstly, it refers to a 15-stitch chart, but the chart illustrated includes 1 stitch and row all around the diamond, so is actually a 17-stitch chart - the diamond itself is 15 stitches. Also, it doesn't specify how long to make the ribbing. I worked 42 rows, plus another for the increase - about 7" I would say, and plenty long enough to come down the shaft to below the top edge of my bag. Finally, the pattern ends by instructing you to duplicate stitch the number or letter according to the chart - wrong pattern, Lion Brand, that's a leftover from the pattern for the numbered cover.
I cleaned all my clubs this afternoon, and will be taking them in to be regripped this week (Golf Town's "guy" doesn't come in on Sundays). When I do that I'll buy a new glove, as the old one is disintegrating.
So excited for the next class - hee!
