I'm taking golf lessons this summer as a way to relax, get some exercise, and get away from studying for at least one hour per week. Hopefully more if I go to the driving range at least one other time per week. I did okay, yesterday, with my ancient hand-me-down clubs. I even received a compliment from the instructor on my swing, and was asked to demonstrate the finish for the rest of the group. Apparently everyone else is just beginning - I'm taking this sort of as a refresher. (Also I don't want to suck at the office golf tournament this year.)
I bought myself a new bag, so that my old clubs won't be quite as pathetic-looking when I stroll onto the putting green next week. However, the old club covers are looking pretty sad now - I may have to knit a new set. I like these argyle ones best of the ones I've found online so far.
I'm really looking forward to going again next week, and hopefully renewing my interest in the game. It wouldn't hurt if I could knock a few strokes off my next round as well.
