I have indeed been knitting all this time. This is a little bolero I'm working on for Amy. The sleeves are also done. While I'm waiting for these pieces to dry, I'll be thinking about an edging for the neck and lower edges. I was thinking of maybe a lacy rib, about 3 cm deep, but I may try a ruffle sort of like this. (Pardon the skanky model.) I think it will suit the yarn - and its utter lack of body - better than something that's expected to stand up on its own.
I'm also currently working on the Veste Everest from the fall issue of Interweave Knits. I'm using a dark charcoal coloured wool - can't remember the name of the yarn at the moment - and I think it will look quite nice when it is finished. It will probably be hell to photograph, but I'll try to get a progress shot sometime this weekend.
The alpaca from Peru is on hold at the moment while I try to decide what to do with it. Possibly the flower basket shawl. Not sure whether I'm a shawl person, but for this pattern I could make an exception.
Now time to see if that bolero is dry yet, and pick out something exciting to watch with my knitting. Can you believe TSN is airing a football game from 1990 rather than tonight's BC Lions game? Argh! Blackouts!
Oh, and I've had to close all comments on my past entries - I'm so tired of deleting links to p@rn.
