I ran the full 5K tonight - the same route as Sunday, but in the dark and the rain, and surprisingly it seemed easier this time around. I ran the whole way, excluding my 1-minute walk breaks. So I now know it can be done. It will be done.
Oh, and I am not slow, I am simply less fast.
Now excuse me while I go take an Advil and ice my knee.
